Meal(s) Included: Breakfast | | Day 2 | Lake Nakuru National Park | After breakfast, we will drive down to the floor of the Rift Valley and onto Lake Nakuru National Park. Have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, spend the day exploring the amazing bird life as well as rhino and leopard for which Lake Nakuru is famous for. The park is also home to a huge colony of pink flamingos. In this magnificent park, home to Kenya's richest concentration of wildlife, you will see some of Africa's largest pride of lions, zebra, antelope, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, cheetah and hyena. The Mara covers an area of about 1,500 square kilometers in the south western corner of Kenya. The reserve is host to the annual migration of over a million wildebeest, an awesome wildlife spectacle. You will take an evening game drive returning to the lodge for diner and overnight. Within the walls of the crater lie short grasslands, swamps, forests and a freshwater lake, inspiring continual migration of animals. You will have the opportunity to spot the "Big Five"- lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rare black rhinoceros, as well as zebra, wildebeest and gazelles. Depart this ancient volcanic crater back to the lodge for lunch and later an afternoon for Optional activities.
