The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the splendors of Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul hotel. Day 3: Istanbul-Ankara An early morning departure transfer will take you to the airport for your flight to Ankara. TK 108 08:00 Arrival in Ankara. In the morning visit to the world-wide famous Anatolian Civilizations Museum (It is closed on Mondays) also known as Hittite Museum and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the burial place of the Turkish hero. Then departure for Cappadocia and lunch on the way. After a picturesque trip along the Salt Lake visit to the 13th century Seljukian Caravanserai Agzikarahan. Overnight in Cappadocia hotel (B,L,D). Day 4: Cappadocia After having breakfast in the hotel visit to the Pigeon Valley near Uchisar; then proceed to the Open Air Museum in Goreme through Avcilar Valley and visit to the early Christian churches decorated with unique frescoes depicting various scenes from the Bible. Lunch in a restaurant and then visit to Kaymakli Underground City, the place early Christians hid from persecutors. Pasabagi in Zelve region and Avanos with shopping facilities for the world-wide famous handicrafts.Overnight in Cappadocia hotel (B,L,D). Day 5: Cappadocia - Pamukkale Early departure for Pamukkale. On the way visit to the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece sultanhan Caravanserai and arrival in Konya. Lunch. After visiting the Mausoleum of Mevlana, the world-wide famous mystic, proceed to Karatay Theological School in which beautiful tiles are on display. Overnight in Pamukkale hotel (B,L,D).Day 6: Pamukkale In the morning visit to the ancient Hierapolis with the Theatre, Apollo Temple and magnificent Necropolis, the graveyard. Then drive to Aphrodisias and lunch. Later visit to the ruins and the museum. Overnight in Kusadasi hotel (B,L,D).Day 7: Pamukkale - Izmir - Istanbul Morning tour to Ephesus area with Ephesus Antique City (Hillside Houses are excluded), Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world; Virgin Mary's House, Selcuk Ephesus Museum and St. John Church. After having lunch in Selcuk drive to Izmir and transfer to the Izmir airport. Transfer to Istanbul for your last night.Overnight in Istanbul hotel (B,L).Day 8: Istanbul to USA Transfer to the Istanbul airport for your return flight home.
